Winning IS Everything! Goals Are Just Words Until You Put Them Into Action!

Winning IS Everything! Now, before you start screaming at me or say, "No, trying is all that matters!" Please just read on. Yes, I made a broad statement, but it's true. When we (you and I) set a goal, or even before that; when a potential goal is a concept to you, how do you go about creating and executing it? These goals could be that of: losing weight; building muscle; getting that promotion that you feel you deserve; being the best husband/wife, or parent that you can be. When your goals are in the beginning stage; meaning you're just brainstorming, and trying to figure out what you want to achieve, what makes you even think of it? Aristotle once said, "Patience is bitter, but it's fruit is sweet." How about the quote, "Some of your greatest blessings come with patience," by Warren Wiersbe. My favorite quote is, "There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs." All of these quotes, to me, mean something. Everything that involves growing, takes time. Whether you're planting a seed to bloom into a flower, or those pepper seeds you planted in your garden that need the right elements (sun, water, and time) to grow into the luscious green peppers. I've always loved sports. From the time I could pick up a baseball bat (yes, and I mean a wiffle ball bat), I was always intrigued with the mechanics of sports. How is an athlete able to hit that ball going 90+ miles an hour? How is the wide-receiver able to catch that pass, and know to keep both feet in with only a few inches to spare?
